Get your field ready, then agree your launch.

Work through these five setup stages at your own pace. Preview the listing and request DogFieldHQ review before opening bookings or replacing your current booking link.

Your go-live checklist

A clear path, one step at a time.

5 setup stages
  1. 1 Create your account
  2. 2 Add your business
  3. 3 Create your location
  4. 4 Set up your field + Stripe
  5. 5 Preview, request review and share

Ready when you are

Most of the setup is simply telling DogFieldHQ how your field works.

The simple setup journey

From account setup to a reviewed listing.

Each step gets you closer to a live booking journey for your customers. Add the essentials first, then keep improving your listing as your business grows.

  1. 01

    Step one

    Create your DogFieldHQ account

Sign up as a field owner and get your account ready. It only takes a few details to get started, and you can return to finish the setup whenever you need.

  2. 02

    Step two

    Add your business details

Tell customers who is behind the field: your business name, contact details, website, logo and the brand colours you want to carry into the booking journey.

Build trust before the first booking
Your businessMake it yoursYour details stay connected to every location you add.
  3. 03

    Step three

    Create your location

Add the place customers will visit, with its address, photos, facilities, parking and arrival guidance. If you run more than one site, each location can have its own setup.

Give customers the practical details they need

  4. 04

    Step four

Add your field and set the rules

Create the field your customers will book, then set session lengths, prices, opening hours and booking rules. Add features, dog limits and excluded breeds so the right customers know what to expect. Finally, connect your Stripe account for secure payments.

  5. 05

    Step five

Preview, request review and agree your launch

Check the customer-view preview from your location page and complete the launch checklist. Request DogFieldHQ review: approval and publication are managed by DogFieldHQ. Agree a launch date, account for bookings in your old system, then share a link, button or availability widget when your field is approved and ready.

Your money, your Stripe account

Payments go straight into the Stripe setup you control.

DogFieldHQ uses Stripe Connect so your customer payments are handled through your connected Stripe account. The money is yours, and Stripe manages the payout to your bank account according to your payout and settlement settings.

Check your payout settings in Stripe

Payout timing depends on your connected Stripe account and bank. Check your account’s schedule before planning when booking income will arrive.

You can access your connected Stripe account from your field owner settings.

Already using a booking system?

Plan the change before you move your booking link.

Set up and preview first

Add your business, location, field, hours and prices in your account. The location page has a temporary customer-view preview link. It previews the listing; it is not a test checkout, and booking availability still follows the live approval state.

Agree when bookings can open

Complete the launch checklist and request DogFieldHQ review. DogFieldHQ controls approval and publication of your business and location; setting up an account or sharing a link alone does not make a field bookable. Agree your opening date before publication.

Keep existing bookings accounted for

Bookings in your old system do not move automatically. Keep managing those visits there and block their times in DogFieldHQ using closures before opening availability. Stop the old system selling those same times; the two calendars do not synchronise.

Explain the change to regular customers

Customers can browse availability before signing in. To continue a booking they need a DogFieldHQ customer account and dog details. An account with your previous booking provider does not carry over.

Keep your website and field identity

Keep your own website and add a booking link, button or availability widget. Your logo and chosen colours appear in the DogFieldHQ booking journey. There is no automatic booking or customer import from another provider.

Plan for leaving, too

You can view booking and customer records in your account, but there is no self-service download of your full booking and customer data. Before closing an account, contact hello@dogfieldhq.co.uk to discuss data access and outstanding visits. Removing your website link alone does not unpublish a listing.

See the setup checklist or ask Daniel about switching.
